At Biloela Medical Centre we understand busy lives and work commitments, which is why we operate by appointment only – to keep waiting times to a minimum.
For your convenience we offer a range of appointment lengths. Standard consultations are 15 minutes and longer consultations are available on request. To avoid overruns – so we don’t keep you or others waiting – if you think you need a longer appointment, let us know at the time of booking. This enables staff to make allowances for longer appointments to ensure you get the time and attention to fully meet your needs. Please note longer consultations will accrue a higher consultation fee, and insurance medicals, procedures and annual health checks require more time.
Billing arrangements.
Biloela Medical Centre is a private billing practice and payment is required at the time of consultation. Medicare rebates apply.
Please enquire with reception for a price guide for our services. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, speak with your
doctor.
Recall and reminder system.
We are committed to preventative medicine and health promotion. We have systems in place to ensure recalls and reminders for various health
matters are provided to our patients. You can request information about various health topics to be sent to you via post, email or
telephone. We also participate in the state/territory reminder system – if you do not wish to participate in the reminder system, please
advise your doctor.
Cancellations or missed appointments..
Biloela Medical Centre acknowledges that unexpected circumstances occur and we ask you to contact us as soon as possible if you need to
cancel or change your appointment. Missed appointments cause gaps in the doctor’s schedule and can cause another client to miss out.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.
Workers compensation and third party insurance.
If your consultation fee is to be covered by workers’ compensation or third party insurance, please let our receptionist know at the time of
booking or before your appointment starts. This ensures the correct documents are used and the right information is taken to assist the
payment process.
Home visits.
